ROSTER ASSIGNMENT POLICIES.

1. In order to insure the health, welfare and safety of all participants, and in order to ensure the enjoyment of the majority of EMASS Members, the applicable Assignment Committee reserves the right to restrict the participation of an individual in any particular Division: (a) if such individual is unable to demonstrate minimum skill levels and/or physical abilities appropriate to the level of play of the applicable Division; or (b) if such individual's skills and/or physical abilities are of such a high level as to be inappropriate to the level of play in the applicable Division and could reasonably be considered a risk to other participants.

2. Although during Registration a Member will be asked to specify in which Saturday division (American or National) he/she prefers to participate, please note that the Assignment Committee reserves the right to assign an EMASS Member to a team in either the American or National division based on such individual's skill level and the needs of the respective Divisions. It is the intent of the Assignment Committee, to the extent possible, to assign the sixty (60) most skilled players to the American Division. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT INITIAL ASSIGNMENTS TO THE AMERICAN OR NATIONAL DIVISION ARE TEMPORARY AND A PLAYER IS SUBJECT TO RE-ASSIGNMENT AS CIRCUMSTANCES DICTATE.

3. In the event that a prospective Member of the American Division not assigned to an American Division Team as a result of an eligibility decision by the American Division Assignment Committee, he/she will be offered a position in the National Division or he/she may choose to receive a full refund of the American Division fees

4. In the event that a prospective Member of the Pacific Division is not assigned to a Pacific Division Team as a result of an eligibility decision by the Pacific Division Assignment Committee, he/she will be offered a position in the Atlantic Division or he/she may choose to receive a full refund of the Pacific Division fees.

5. Roster assignments to any particular EMASS Team within a Division are possibly temporary in nature. The applicable Assignment Committee reserves the right to re-assign players from team to team in order to better achieve team parity throughout the season.

6. In the event that any player is not available to play (due to winter vacation schedules) on the opening day of his/her Division, he/she will not be assigned to a team until such time as he/she returns and is so available to play on a full time basis as indicated on the registration form.
